Delays as Scottish Government Seeks to Attract Overseas Talent With £4M Investment

Scotland is to build an online Talent Attraction and Migration Service with 3 tiers of support but delays in the procurement process has stranded the project in limbo.

Tier 1: An online platform available to everyone, providing up-to-date and accurate information in plain English.
Tier 2: Support for businesses who are seeking to recruit talent to Scotland
Tier 3: One-to-one advice for employers who need further support with the immigration system

Additionally, for those that successfully apply to work in Scotland, a Reception Support platform will help them integrate by providing clear information on how to access public services.

The provision of these services will be funded from a £4M investment from the Scottish Government and is expected to boost the number of organisations holding a sponsorship license.

The Scottish government had intended to issue the tender in April 23 but have delayed to conduct further discovery work.

Updates are expected in summer 23.
